A fresh new look

Tonight's update gives everyone a fresh new look, gets the hoops in The Den working properly and makes fights in VR a lot less fiddly.

A fresh new look

Every player has new proportions. Your head is a smaller egg shape with your face sitting low on it, and your body is taller and slimmer, flat at the front and back, with rounded shoulders. Your hands are just as they were.

All the clothing has been refitted to the new shape, so everything you own still fits: hats, hoods, ears, masks, tops, tails, the lot. Your outfits stay exactly as you saved them.

Shoot some hoops

The basketball hoops in The Den were catching the ball in the net. Now it drops right through, and when you sink one you'll hear a ding and get a little burst of confetti. The Hoop in the Shaper works the same way, so you can build a court of your own.

Weapons stay in your hand

In VR, once you pick up a sword, gun, bow, wand or shield, it stays in your hand until you press your controller's drop button (Y or B on Quest controllers). No more losing your sword halfway through a duel because you grabbed it again.

Balls and grenades are different: you only hold them while you're holding the grip or trigger, and they fly the moment you let go.

Grenades on a timer

A grenade now goes off three seconds after it first leaves a hand, instead of when it bounces. Picking it up again doesn't reset the timer, so if one lands at your feet, throw it back fast: it's yours once you've thrown it. Hold on to one for too long and it goes off in your hand.

No more vanishing players

Players right across a big room used to disappear. Now you'll see them however far away they are.

Getting the update

On PC, VoxFox updates itself the next time you start it. On Quest, get the new version from the download page and install it over the old one. Your account, your dorm and everything you own stay as they are.
